First, let's take a look at 'compared with' and 'compared to'. My own problems seem insignificant compared with other people's. I've had some difficulties, but they were nothing compared to yours. ^ In the above two sentences, 'compared with' and 'compared to" are both used to indicate that the speaker examines the two things to determine how different they are. Now, let's have a look at 'compare(s) with'. This school compares with the best in the country. (=This school is as good as the best school in the country.) This house doesn't compare with our previous one. (=This house is not as good as our previous one.) ^ The four sentences are taken from Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary. Now, let's examine the Beatles lyrics mentioned in #3: "There's no-one compares with you."  (="There's no-one that compares with you.") ^ The omission of the relative pronoun 'that' is a common practice in colloquial English or literary language (as already explained by 'se16teddy', a 50-year-old Englishman, in this post: http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=289649 ).
