English Vocabulary - Look / See / Watch
In English, we have three words to talk about sight,
where most languages just use one!
ในภาษาอังกฤษ เรามีคำสามคำที่ใช้อธิบายการมอง
ซึ่งในภาษาอื่นส่วนใหญ่ ใช้แค่คำเดียวเอง

and today we gonna talk about 3, 3 words in English.
และวันนี้ เราจะมาพูดกันถึง 
คำสามคำ ในภาษาอังกฤษ
That's very confusing. And the reason why these words are confusing is,
because in most languages, they like to keep it simple.
ที่สับสนมาก และเหตุผลที่ว่าทำไมคำสามคำนี้มักทำให้สับสน
ก็เพราะว่า ในภาษาอื่นส่วนใหญ่
เค้าใช้แค่คำเดียวแทนทั้งสามคำน่ะสิคะ
เค้าทำให้มันง่ายเข้า
And they like to use 1 word for all 3 of these words (Look/See/Watch).
เค้าใช้แค่คำเดียวแทนคำทั้งสามคำLook/See/Watch ค่ะ
English is not easy. English is difficult.
ภาษาอังกฤษ มันไม่ง่าย มันยากน่ะค่ะ
And they like to have these 3 options (Look /See/Watch)
และเค้าก็มักจะใช้คำทั้งสามคำนี้
to confused you even more.
มาทำให้คุณสับสนไงคะ
So I'll be to help you ... maybe.

And help you understand which one to use when,how, if,why.

"LOOK" /"SEE" /"WATCH" 
Let's look at this word 'LOOK'
มาดูที่คำ 'LOOK' กันค่ะ
This word is LOOK
คำนี้คือ 'LOOK'
The second word is 'SEE'
คำที่สองคือ 'SEE'
pronounce like the 3 letter of English "C"'
ออกเสียงเหมือนตัวอักษรภาษาอังกฤษตัวที่ 3 เป๊ะเลยน่ะค่ะ
ไหนลองพูดซิ....
And then we have "WATCH"
และต่อมา เรามีคำว่า "WATCH"
: This thing in your hand,
มันคือนาฬิกาข้อมือของคุณน่ะค่ะ
if you have one
ถ้าคุณใส่อยู่อันนึง,
is also called "WATCH"
เค้าก็เรียกว่า "WATCH" ค่ะ
By the way, เปลี่ยนเรื่อง,
the thing in the wall is "CLOCK"
ส่วนนาฬิกาแขวนผนัง เค้าเรียก "CLOCK" ค่ะ
But today we just going to look at
แต่ วันนี้ เราจะมาดูว่า
how to use these in the differences between.

First of all, we have to think about

how long we are actually doing the action for? So

LOOK and SEE have the shortest time spend.

If I say ถ้าเราพูดว่า
"LOOK over there!!!!!!" "ดูนั่นเร็ว"
It very fast. มันเร็วมาก
If I say ถ้าเราพูดว่า
"Do you see that?" "เห็นนั่นมั๊ย"
It's a very fast action. แสดงว่าเหตุการณ์มันเกิดขึ้นเร็วมาก
IF I say ถ้าเราพูดว่า
"Watch, however." "ดูซะ"
It's a longer time. มันใช้เวลานานกว่า 2 เหตุการณ์แรก
So ดังนั้น
LOOK and SEE : are very short time.
LOOK และ SEEใช้เวลากระทำสั้นมาก/เหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นเร็วมาก
หรือเกิดขึ้นในระยะเวลาอันสั้น/รวดเร็ว
And และ
WATCH : is a longer time.
และ WATCH ใช้เวลานานกว่า
Now, let's think of things that you usually watch.
เอาหละ (เพื่อให้เข้าใจมากขึ้น)ตอนนี้มาดูสิ่งที่คุณ watch เป็นประจำ
You can watch
- 1. A movie. หนัง
- How long's that movie? An hour, an hour a half. You can watch ...
หนังเรื่องนั้นยาวเท่าไหร่? ชั่วโมงนึง, ชั่วโมงครึ่ง คุณดู(หนัง)ได้
- 2. T.V. ทีวี
- You can watch... คุณก็ดูทีวีได้
- 3. People ผู้คน
- If you sit in the mall, or if you are on the main street, in the big city.. ถ้าคุณนั่งในห้าง หรือคุณอยู่บนถนนสายหลักในเมืองใหญ่
You can watch all the crazy funky people go by.
คุณสามารถมองคนที่โก๊ะๆ ประหลาดๆ เดินผ่านไปผ่านมา
It's actually called people watching. นี่ก็เรียกว่ามองดูผู้คน
So,(WATCH =) these things: movie, TV and people
= The actions take long time to do it.
ซึ่ง การดูหนัง ดูทีวี มองดูผู้คน ก็ใช้เวลานาน ในการดู/มอง
(SEE = ) If you are SEEING something
= you looking at it, and then you moving away very quickly!!!!
SEE = ถ้าคุณดูกำลังดูบางอย่าง
= คุณกำลังจ้องมองมัน และคุณก็หันไปอย่างรวดเร็วมาก
(LOOK = ) If you actually LOOKING at something
ถ้าคุณกำลังมองดูมันอยู่
= you'll need another word,
คุณต้องเติมคำอื่นมาต่อท้าย
you need นั่นคือ (LOOK) 'AT' มองที่
So I'm actually telling you, to do something.
ตอนนี้ ชั้นกำลังบอกให้คุณทำบางอย่าง
LOOK is what they called in English
LOOK ในภาษาอังกฤษเรียกว่า = imperative,
I like to called as command or demand
ชั้นชอบเรียกมันว่า คำสั่งหรือความต้องการ,
it easier to understand.
มันทำให้เข้าใจง่ายขึ้นน่ะ
LOOK = Imperative = Command หรือ Demand
So maybe, someone doing something funny
หรือถ้ามีใครทำอะไรตลกๆ ก็อาจพูดว่า,
"LOOK AT me!!!!"
LOOK AT + something or someone
LOOK AT me!
Or you can say หรือพูดว่า LOOK AT her!
LOOK AT it!
It, we use for thing only, not people.
อิท ใช้กับ 
สิ่งของเท่านั้นนะคะ ไม่ใช้กับคนนะ
And animal, as well, we use IT usually.
และสัตว์ด้วย ใช้กับสัตว์ได้ เหมือนกัน
In some languages, you might known that a dog gender is a boy.
ในบางภาษา 
สุนัข มีเพศ เป็นเพศชาย
But in English, the general rules, we say it.
แต่ในภาษาอังกฤษ กฏทั่วไปใช้ IT 
You can get angry, but doesn't matter.
เธออาจจะโกรธนะ แต่ไม่เป็นไร
And SEE = as a quick glance.
และ SEE = หันไปมองอย่างไว
glance noun การชำเลือง ยล การเหลียวดู
verb ชายตา เหลือบมอง ชำเลือง เหลียวดู
Did you SEE that car!!!!! เห็นรถนั่นมั๊ย
Wow!! Did you see that car!! ว๊าว!! เห็นรถนั่นมั๊ย!!!!!
Car started really quickly, you get one chance
to have a quick glance to look at it. OK?
รถออกสตาร์ทไวมาก คุณมีแค่เเว๊บเดียว
ที่จะมองมันอย่างไว โอเคมั๊ย?
So, you going to see something,
but it not going to stay in your view, for a long time.

Something like a TV and a movie:
they don't move.

so these things (TV,MOVIE and PEOPLE)
เช่นเดียวกันกับพวกนี้ (ทีวี,หนังและผู้คน)
most of the time will stay in one place.
จะอยู่ในที่ที่หนึ่งแทบจะตลอดเวลา
The PEOPLE WILL MOVE, but TV and a MOVIE DON'T.
คนจะเคลื่อนไหว แต่ ทีวีและหนัง ไม่
The thing that you see, have ability to move,
สิ่งที่คุณsee จะสามารถเคลื่อนไหวได้
and move very quickly.
และเคลื่อนไหวอย่างไวมาก
So If I saw a dear. ดังนั้น ถ้าคุณเห็นกวาง
I wouldn't really watch the dear. คุณจะไม่สามารถ watch กวางได้
I will see the dear, แต่คุณจะ seeได้
they run by me very quickly. ในกรณีที่มันวิ่งผ่านคุณไปอย่างไว

-And if you gonna be there for a long time, You're going to watch
something. และถ้าคุณต้องการดูอะไรนานๆ คุณใช้ watch
If you're going to shopping ถ้าคุณไปชอปปิ้ง
You're NOT WATCHING CLOTHES!!!!!!!.
คุณไม่ใช้คำว่า WATCH ในการดูเสื้อผ้า
The clothes aren't coming and dancing around for you.
เพราะเสื้อผ้าไม่สามารถ มาเต้นรำรอบๆคุณได้(เหมือนหนังหรือทีวีที่คุณWATCH)
คุณใช้คำว่า You're LOOKING AT the clothes.
And SOMETIME บางครั้งคุณ, YOU SEEING the clothes,
but you're mostly แต่ส่วนใหญ่มากคุณ LOOKING AT. OK!!!!
