ค่าอัตราการเติมอากาศของแม่น้ำเป็นค่าที่สำคัญที่ใช้ในการประเมินการเปลี่ยนแปลงความเข้มข้นของสารอินทรีย์ในแม่น้ำ สามารถนำค่าดังกล่าวมาสร้างแบบจำลองคณิตศาสตร์ เพื่อที่จะคาดคะเนค่ามลสารในแม่น้ำและประเมินความสามารถในการรองรับปริมาณมลพิษของแม่น้ำได้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ดำเนินการประเมินค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) ในแม่น้ำพองเป็นจำนวน 4 จุดเก็บตัวอย่างในแม่น้ำพอง ค่าอัตราการเติมอากาศของแม่น้ำสามารถหาได้จากการวัดจริงในแม่น้ำ และการวัดค่าในห้องปฏิบัติการ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) ของแม่น้ำพองอยู่ในช่วง 0.4 1.15 ต่อวัน โดยสถานีบ้านห้วยทราย, บ้านหนองแต้, บึงโจด และบ้านหนองบัวน้อย มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.48, 0.80, 0.45 และ 1.15 ตามลำดับ ผลการศึกษาจากห้องปฏิบัติการพบว่ามีค่า สัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2)ที่กำหนดค่าความเร็วลม 0 2.5 เมตรต่อวินาที มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) อยู่ในช่วง 0.1-0.6 เมื่อมีการพัดของลมทำให้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) มีการเพิ่มขึ้น และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2)ที่ความลึกแตกต่างกันมีค่าใกล้เคียงกันเนื่องมาจากมีการกวนผสมกันของมวลน้ำ และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2)ที่ได้กำหนดความเข้มแสง ในช่วง 0.2 0.5 ไม่มีผลต่อค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) จากห้องปฏิบัติการ แต่ที่ระดับความลึกที่แตกต่างกันมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2)ที่แตกต่างกัน โดยระยะผิวน้ำมีค่า สัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2) มากกว่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของอัตราการเติมออกซิเจนเนื่องจากอากาศ (k2)ที่ระดับก้นถัง
The rate of aeration of the river is important in evaluating changes in the concentration of organic matter in the river. This value can be used to construct mathematical modeling to calculate the amount of pollutants in the river and its capacity to absorb the pollutants. In this study, the coefficient of the rate of oxygen replenishment from (k2) in Nam Pong River at four sampling points is calculated. The rate of aeration in the river can be found from actual measurement in the river and in the laboratory. The study reveals that the coefficient of the oxygen aeration from air (K2) is between 0.4 to 1.15 per day: Ban Huaysai station, Ban Nongtae, Bungjot and Ban Nongbuanoi at 0.48, 0.80, 0.45, and 1.15 respectively. The coefficient of the oxygen aeration from air (K2) at wind speed in the range of 0 to 2.5 meters per second in the laboratory yields the value of 0.1 to 0.6. When there is wind, it increases the coefficient of the oxygen aeration. However water depth level is a non factor because air is throughly mixed with water. The coefficient of the oxygen aeration from (K2) at varying light intensity ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 is also not insignificantly different in the lab setting. But the depth level yields different value of coefficients of the oxygen aeration (K2) with the surface value significantly higher than at the value at the bottom of the tank.
