It's a pity I missed the past topic --- movies, right ? Now, I won't miss the chance again.
My main hobby is reading --- anything from hard copies to web-based content, especially pantip.com, which has got me here so far.
Other equally important hobby is to play with my girls. I enjoy doing things with them, tell them the stories, observe what they talk, how they play, teach them various things and sometimes get lessons from them, even without their knowing.
My eldest girl, Koobkab is turning ten this year. She's the one whose words often "enligthen" me and guide me to a better attitude, in such a gentle way that I always doubt, if she has been sent to be my mentor.
Koobkab is a highly respoinsible kid. Despite her constant whining in trivial matters, I hardly see any of her "fatally negative" personality traits.
She often does her assignments without needing any reminder and prefers to go to school early. She gets anxious every time we are getting late.
One day, the traffic in our small soi was unusually congested. One car tried to pass us but could not get through easily. The window on the driver's side was broken, as a result. The violator simply just went away.
There was nothing I could do but yelling and cursing.
Then, the little voice came from the back seat saying "Mommy, let's be optimistic. The driver of that car could be in the rush to send his kids to school on time, just the same as you are rushing to put us to school on time as well."
From then on, I began to think twice before judging the little kids' emotional intelligence.
Dear, have I swayed too far from the topic ?
