Although my English was pretty strong (could read English newspapers without consulting a dictionary), I prepared by doing Barron's preparation test manual from cover to cover every single moment I have a free time. After one month, my score was 640+ something. Could not remember the precise score. That was in 1982.
If your English level is not that good, you need even more time to study/prepare the material. I spent about 6-8 hours/day for the whole month. You may need to spend even more time if your Toiec score is this low.
