ความคิดเห็นที่ 2 I love Songkran festival so much, during this moment, every year I get many days off. Hehehe. Now I'm preparing, getting ready to take a trip to my hometown at a province. I think this is a wonderful time, I can get back my hometown for many days to visit my parent and meeting among my relatives as well as many of my old friends that we've never seen each other for quite a long times. There are many event to join during Songkran festival at my home town, such as, Rod-Num-Dom-Hua to pay respects to old age relatives, Srong-Num-Pra, take sand to a temple (ขนทรายเข้าวัด) and make sand chedi (ก่อเจดีย์ทราย) and flag (ปักตุง). moreover, during this time every body seemed very happy and fun all the time. they play together with water. In fact, many of the Songkran Festival in the past, I spent most of my time to hung out with my friends and drunk too much. However, nowaday I don't like to drink too much anymore, I'm just moderate in drinking. The upcoming Songkran this year, I think I won't drink too much, although, however much it's difficult to denial my friends to not to drink, I'll try and force myself. Now I'm about to leave within a few day, I already made a reservation for the bus on April 10th, and I'll be back again after April 17th. Wish you all have a good time during Songkran day. ความคิดเห็นที่ 3 Songkran was the best holiday when I was a kid. School was out, no homework, you could go to bed later than usual. We would start celebrating the event several days before the arrival of April 13th. Growing up in a neighborhood with a lot of kids made it more fun because there would be water sabotages all over the place. To stay dry was a tricky and hard-to-achieve task. You had to be super sneaky because you wanted to be the last one standing (dry, in this case). However, nobody could escape being completely drenched from head to toes in the end. Apart from all the fun we had, it was the time that family members gathered. Some visited from out of town or we visited those who lived faraway. This was even more exciting because we got money from all the relatives. The more relatives we saw, the more money we received. It was such a childish joy to think at the time that you were rich with all the money you got. We were actually happy with what we had. Time flies. When you are a grown-up, Songkran loses its magic somehow. Being an adult means that your are harder to satisfy, right? At some point, you have fun splashing water at people or getting splashed. When you have enough of it and want it to stop, you can't make people stop. The fun ends there. You see a lot of people get drunk and rowdy. You get annoyed or fear for your safety. That's not a definition of enjoyment. I guess it's part of getting old(er). Now I'd rather enjoy watching Songkran from faraway. Happy Songkran to all. ความคิดเห็นที่ 6 I missed the last TOW, I didn't have any imagination to continue the story. But however, this week, Songkarn's day is coming soon. I will have lots of fun and free time about 4 or 5 days. Haha! what a wonderful time it is, I LOVE IT. Here we go, my view of Songkran. Firstly, I think the economic will be better - everyone will come out and celebrate their holiday - some will go abroad or countryside, some will splash water together maybe @ Siam or @ Silom.                 All people who go travelling have to spend their money for food, hotel and more. So it means money will be circulate by us. It's really good. Besides, in the past, some people went back to their home, they would pay respect to the oldie by pour water on the hands of revered elders and ask for blessing. Maybe some people went to pray or  take the sand in the temple, these can show us how Thai people love each other :)) But, nowadays, everything is changed. People will travel around or do something they want (as I have talked about above) in this holiday, like me. Now it's time for me to prepare the packed for travel - the clothes, cosmetics and etc. Are you READY? Yes!, I am countind down for this Songkarn and it's just 2 days more :)) For people who travelat anywhere, hope you will enjoy your holiday and have a nice trip, GOOD LUCK. ความคิดเห็นที่ 7 I love when relatives assemble at their grandparent's place and do water-pouring ceremony (รดน้ำดำหัว)together. However, we can't refuse that Songkarn nowadays is quite dangerous for women. I hear about sexual harassment every year, it make me hesitate to go out. My father also concerns a lot about me and my sister. As a result, going out to play  Songkarn seems to be prohibited for both of us. I wonder where does good people play and hope to join them. I like the way of Songkran in the past more than now because it's more polite and more to the family, go to the temple during the day and in the evening, it's kinda more peaceful than now, that's what I think. But anyway, time's changed, and it's the way, it have to be, so.. lately, I just watch the news via youtube, or something like that instead. Just keep the good part.
