OK. So we've talked about the adjectives that's a one syllable. โอเค ดังนั้นเราได้พูดคุยกันเกี่ยวกับคำคุณศัพท์ที่มีพยางค์เดียวกันไปแล้ว
Now, what about 2 syllable adjective. ตอนนี้ แล้วคำคุณศัพท์ ที่มี 2 พยางค์เป็นอย่างไร
How do we make them comparative? แล้วเราจะทำให้เป็นการเปรียบเทียบกันได้ยังไง?
Well,look at the adjective that ended with the "Y" เอาล่ะค่ะ, มาดูที่ คำคุณศัพท์ที่ลงท้ายด้วย "Y"
They has it's own special rules. คำพวกนี้ มีกฏพิเศษของเค้า
So, for example. ตัวอย่างนะคะ
Let's use the adjective "happy" and "angry" มาใช้คำคุณศัพท์ "happy" (ความสุข) และ "angry" (โกรธ) กันค่ะ
So, if you want to compare 2 people's happiness, ดังนั้น ถ้าคุณต้องการเปรียบเทียบความสุขของคน 2 คน
and you want to say that และคุณต้องการพูดว่า
"After they went on the roller-coaster, Valen was happier that her sister." "หลังจากที่พวกเขาไปเล่นรถไฟเหาะ, Valen ก็ มีความสุขมากกว่าน้องสาวเธอ."
Or, something like that. หรือ อะไรทำนองนั้น
So, what you do is ดังนั้น เธอก็ทำ อย่างนี้
happy --> happyer
That's how it's pronoun. นั้นคือ วิธีที่มันออกเสียง
But when we write it, what you need to do, is replace the "Y" with "i" and then add "ER" แต่เมื่อเราเขียนคำนี้ สิ่งที่เธอต้องทำคือ เปลี่ยนตัว "Y" ให้เป็น "i" แล้วเติม "ER"
So happy --> become "happier" ดังนั้น happy --> become ก็กลายมาเป็น "happier"
Now, let's do the same thing for angry. ตอนนี้ มาทำเหมือนกัน ที่คำว่า angry (โกรธ)
So it's pronounce "angryer" like this. ดังนั้น มันออกเสียง "angryer" อย่างนี้
But again, this spelling is not correct. แต่ อีกครั้งนะคะ การสะกด ยังไม่ถูกค่ะ
We need to change the "Y" to an "i" เราต้องเปลี่ยน "Y" ให้เป็น "i" นะคะ
So it becomes "angrier" ดังนั้น มันจะเป็น "angrier" ค่ะ
So two syllable adjective, that end with the "Y". ดังนั้น 2 คุณศัพท์ ที่ลงท้ายด้วย "Y"
We need to take the "Y" out, and add, instead of "ER", we add "IER" เราต้องตัด "Y" ออก และ แทนที่จะเติม "ER" เราเติม "IER" นะคะ
