Good morning! (Or good evening and good night to some of you.)
So, are we still talking about weather?
Let me rant a bit more then. I had the best and the worst summer in Calgary, Canada where I'd lived for 3 years. Since winter there last about 8-10 months with no real spring, summer was most anticipated. When summer arrived, it felt like heaven. People were so cheerful, their mood was lifted with warm weather, colorful flowers, green grass and beautiful scenery. They couldn't wait to go out.
Being around happy and cheerful people like that was quite infectious. It made me feel good. On a nice day we would go hiking in the Canadian Rockies, enjoying beautiful wildflowers, stunning lakes and impressive mountains against the clear blue sky. Now, the worst day would be all that I mentioned except that it hailed and we got completely drenched from head to toe. That happened to me once in mid July on my birthday so I called it the worst summer. :)
In the Rockies, one can't rely much on weather forecast. When it says partly cloudy that morning, it might not last all day and the temperature could change swiftly 2-3 hours later. Summer in Alberta might feel like winter for some people as the temperature is in 20s Celcius. For me, that's perfect unless it goes below 10C which isn't unusual in Calgary.
Winter is another story. Let me just say it felt like living in the fridge more than 6 months per year.
I don't live there anymore, but I miss it from time to time.
