I can't tell you which course is the best one for you. I can only give you some general info.
A Master's Degree program in translation might teach you some translation theories. The study of literature does help the translation of novels from English into Thai.
It's not too difficult to get a job with some local publisher as a freelance novel translator, but the pay is not too good either.
Thai-English translation is a more highly paid job.
Comparison of rates:
The rates for the translation of a 300-A5page novel from English into Thai are 20,000 - 50,000 baht, depending on the publisher.
^ I mean if you're not a famous translator.
The rates for the translation of a 150-page document from Thai into English are 120,000 - 300,000 baht, depending on the types of documents, of course. ^ You can get these rates only if your written English is as good as that of a well educated native speaker of English. But if you write Thailish English, you can only get around 30,000 baht or even less than that for the translation of a 150-page document from Thai into English.
Notes: Two A5 pages contain as many words as one A4 page does. So the above comparison is made on the basis of 150 A4-pages.
