I must agree with most comments.
My English is not that brilliant but what I know and what I got, even without a Master or a PhD qualification, I can proudly say that I can do and learn many things quicker, better than those people who don't know enough English.
Some of you may notice that I can find information quickly through a search engine, that is because I can read and understand the language better than some people. I am not saying I am more clever than others, although I may be in some respects. One of those must be that I have been spending a lot of time in a proper environment. Having studied and lived in the UK for almost two decades and been away from home for more than three must be a slight advantage over many.
As a parent myself, I would never force, nor even consider trying to persuade my child to do or study anything he or she does not like or want to.
