USA - Dr. W.S. Whittemore
วันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2503 พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จ ฯ เยี่ยมโรงพยาบาลเม้านท์ ออเบิร์นที่ประสูติในบอสตัน โอกาสนี้ได้พระราชทานของที่ระลึกแก่ “พระสหายคนแรก ” ดอกเตอร์ ดับบลิว. สจ๊วต วิตต์มอร์ นายแพทย์ผู้ถวายการประสูติเมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2470 และแก่นางพยาบาลทั้ง 4 คน คือ มิสซิส เลสลี่ เลตัน มิส เจนีเวียฟ เวลด้อน มิสซิสมาร์กาเร็ท เฟย์ และมิสรูธ แฮริงตัน
On July 7, H.M. the King arrived in Boston to visit his birthplace at Mount Auburn Hospital. He is seen here with Dr. W.S. Whittemore, attending physician at the royal birth on 5 December 1927, and four nurses who attended him in his infancy. The nurses are Mrs. Leslie Leighton, Mrs. Genevieve Weldon, Mrs. Margaret Fay, and Miss Ruth Harrington. Each was presented with a gold compact embossed with the Royal Crest.
