Mudskippers, which can be found in the mud flats of __1__ forests from West Africa to New Guinea, are fish that spend most of their time out of the water. They walk, __2__ and court on land. They're the only fish to do all this on land instead of in the big __3__. They carry water in their large __4__ chambers, which they use in the exact __5__ way you'd use scuba gear. You carry air to breathe in the water; they carry water to breathe in the air. Since their __6__ stick out on top of their heads, they __7__ kind of like a periscope on a submarine. They have an amazing __8__ of vision, made even greater because the eyes can act independently of each other. When their eyes __9__ out, they can roll them back into water-filled skin folds that remoisten them. One other thing mudskippers do on land: they fight each other over it. When a mudskipper shows its __10__, that means it's preparing to mud wrestle over its __11__ of mud. Here comes a predator, a monitor lizard. The mudskipper may be a masterpiece of eccentric evolution to us, but to the monitor lizard, it's just a relatively nimble __12__.
