Well, a raised metabolic rate will cause some physiological changes which can reveal a few signs to indicate the metabolism has been increased, some possible signs are:
Greater energy levels. The body will mobilize more of its energy reserves as it tries to supply additional calories to fuel bodily functions. This causes the energy system to run more efficiently, and as a result, you may find that you seem to have the physical energy to do more. There may be a few days where you feel more energetic and enthusiastic about getting up in the morning or even for working out.
As the body processing more energy, another side effect is the increased production of heat from the muscles. Therefore, a faster metabolism usually means youre less likely to feel the cold. However if you never normally feel the cold, then a better sign may be if youre hot and bothered during different times of the day, especially during normal resting conditions. However, you should also rule out other potential causes, such as running a fever, menstruation cycles or pregnancy, etc. A warmer body may cause you to sweat more, which again could be an additional sign that your metabolism is speeding up. Remember though, if you do experience more sweating its best to increase fluid intake in order to cool your bodys temperature.
