Actually, most of compounds are excreted from human body and presented in urine or fecis. However, some compounds which are considering the persistent organic pollutant such as DDT, are more likely to accumulate in you body and cannot be excreted from you body.... Let's consider you case, Toluene, Hexane and Xylene, they will be all excreted from your body, after exposure. Even though PAHs will be excreted from your body, they are very toxic. It has been reported that, some PAHs are considered as carcinogenic compounds (compounds causing cancer). Right now, we cannot detect those compounds which you are being exposed in Thailand. One of my co-worker could detect the PAHs in urine, but this was taken place in Japan. So I belive that you cannot go to the hospital or other labs and ask for urine measurement of these compounds. I would recommend you to use mask in order to prevent the inhalation of these compounds in your body. Anyway, feel free to ask me in detail at dzn6@cdc.gov......
