PoD, if what you say is true, maybe he'll have a good laugh to himself and think how easy it will be for him to win the fans over with some investment and by running the club properly, and god knows what effect winning a trophy might have, given the size of the fan-base. A good investment he might think.

Prophet of Doom - most of the reasons you have stated are why he WILL want to buy the club, with the exception of not owning the ground.

I don't really care who runs the club as long as the club is run well, and becomes successful on and off the field. I think Shinawatra is the man to achieve this.

The only way I would want the Thai guy involved is if he promises to clear out the board and management. Promise that and he will have the vast majority of fans supporting him.

As soon as he looks at the books and finds out we don't own the ground or club shop, lose 12 million a season, are 20,000 seasoncard holders down in 3 seasons, have a cosy Forest Old Boys managements set up, a Unted supporting Chief Exec, lowest kit sponsorship in the Premiership, lowest home scorers in the history of English Football he will run all the way back to Bankok ! Worst run club in the country.

There is nothing here to indicate that SP would be retained, and I can assure you that Mr. Thaksin would not tolerate SP's demonstated incompetence for even a moment. By the way, doesn't Mr. Thaksin own two communications satellites currently orbiting our planet? He obviously dreams of establishing MCFC as a brand on the international level. I think it's time for Fergie and the Glazers to get worried, very worried. The Rags are one billion U.S. dollars in debt, and we may soon be debt-free, with a state-of-the-art stadium and the best Academy in England. Oh, and international exposure as well. Let's hope this is the dawn of a new age for MCFC.

lets not throw our caps in the air just yet, shinawatras accountants are looking at citys books, if they dont like what they see there will be no bid. I think he said he will keep the same infrastructure just to keep the board happy. once he gets control,(sorry if he gets control ) it may be a different story hopefully.
