Greenpeace Protest at Heathrow AirportGreenpeace activists climbed on top of an airliner at London Heathrow Airport in a protest against the airport's development.
The incident, which occurred at Heathrow's Terminal 1 at 09.45hrs on Monday morning, involved a British Airways Airbus A320.
Four protesters were involved in the demonstration. According to Greenpeace, the activists apparently walked through a set of security doors onto the apron.
Waiting until the passengers had disembarked from the aircraft, which had just arrived from Manchester, the protesters proceeded to walk across the apron to the aircraft....

About 1,800 officers will oversee the protest next to Heathrow Airport
Hundreds more people are expected to join protesters already camped next to Heathrow Airport to demonstrate against global warming.
The week-long protest will call on the government to halt Heathrow's planned expansion, which campaigners say will contribute to climate change.

Protesters clashed with police at Germany's Frankfurt airport on Saturday (4 August).
Activists protesting against German national carrier Lufthansa, which transports rejected asylum-seekers home, have been at the airport for over a week. Their presence has forced airport authorities to close terminals to all but ticket-carrying passengers.

Taxi protest hits Sydney Airport

PASSENGERS arriving at Sydney's international airport have been stranded by a protest by taxi drivers.
An AAP reporter at the scene said a taxi driver told him they were moved away from the passenger pickup area by police for "security reasons" as they were waiting for international flights to arrive.
Angry at the police action, the drivers are now refusing to move their taxis back to the pickup area.
Between 50 and 100 drivers are involved in the protest.
