I have already informed K โบกกรัก via message that I really get bored of the topic concerning ICJ’s order that was released yesterday. A lot of comments and elaboration on this issues have actually been made by me and anyone can find them in the following topics.

So, enough should be enough. There is no use to waste time and continue absurdly discussing them anymore. Until the time has passed for a while, then  a discussion on this issue should be made by me again.

But now you try to be a little child who repeatedly asking all of the old issues. Never mind, I am willing to help this little child out of his trouble krab.

(1.) The answer is “No”. I insist again that my translation and interpretation is correctly pertinent to ICJ’ order. It is your interpretation that is ridiculously  mistaken.

(2.) The answer is “No”. Again, it is you krab who has terribly misled anyone who read the comments.

(3.) There seems to be no demanding for Yes or No for this.

I hope that you should be satisfied with my answers na krab. If not, you can ask me more and I will be willing to help you out of your confusing mind krab.


By the way, I don’t want to waste my Kratoo in only answering these foolish questions. So, let me go on discussing another topic for the sake of RJD’s member. It is about Peuthai’s policy on the minimum wage. I am going to discuss this together with the Poverty line.

Like any other countries, Thai has its own Poverty line which is calculated systematically on certain methodology  to comply with international definition. The line would represent the minimum income that one should gain to adequately sustain one’s live.


In 2008, Thai average poverty line for the whole kingdom was around 52.63 baht a day ( click to see original Excel file) , while the international poverty line set by the world bank was  1.25 $ per day ( approximately 50 baht/day) for the same period. The poverty line for Bangkok was 71.16 baht/day higher than the lines in the rural areas which were from 49.1 bath/day in North-Easter region to 55.06 baht/day in Central region.

In 2009, the poverty line in Thailand was raised to 52.86 baht a day and the lines for the year 2010 and 2011 are not determined yet.

From these figures, one may argue that the lines are absurdly and incredibly low. How can anyone survive with such a low income like that?  Imagine that you have 60 baht in cash. With breakfast and lunch, the 60 baht cash would certainly be gone. No need to mention dinner and any other necessary expenses.


Anyway, we may perceive this from our point and our standard. In reality, there still exist those poor people who are ragged and homeless. For these people, the 60 baht may be something that is more than adequate.

I ‘m not the one who prefers the minimum wage to be as low as feasible.  However, the fact is that the minimum wage, which is now around 205 baht/day ( in Bangkok and its proximity) , is three times more than the poverty line. So, the present minimum wage , which is set forth by the tri-partite Wage Committee, is at least reasonable.

It will be good to everyone if we can raise the minimum wage to higher level like 300 baht/day without jeopardizing  the whole economy. One possible approach is to gradually increase the wage step by step, not jumping suddenly from 205 baht/day to  300 baht/day.


But Peuthai’s policy to increase the minimum wage all of sudden from 205 baht to 300 baht is a foolish move. Numerous entrepreneurs would not have time to adjust and modify their business. The policy is set to be something like a candy for people. But this is truly a poisonous candy because our economy may crumble because of this suddenly distorted wage structure change.
