not agree because
- it will definitely turn into garbage ...
- if send down by air, will the gov help cleaning up afterward?
- if send by car or train, it will be a lot less "SYMBOLIC" (have to stress this word coz I think that's how the gov wants it to be ... making it a very spectacular sight that you can actually put into Guiness book of record) ... not sure if the good impression of seeing those birds will stay that long
- what use can people there get out of 62m paper birds after receiving them?
- Her majesty the Queen said there are 300,000 people living there ... doing the math, therefore, each person will receive 207 birds ... where would they store them? what would they do with them afterward?
- Thailand is facing with a big draft and how many trees will be wasted with 62m paper birds?
- like many other comments, ok with the intension but not ok with how it is done ... it is really not practical
- this is for charitable cause, so please don't make it looks like sending pastcards hoping to win a prize
Agree with hanging a bird in front of every houses. That already shows the nation unity without having to send them ALL down there. Additional help would be the money and goods.
Recommend reading comments sent from those living in the 3 southern provinces.
And, of course, there is a better way to help them ... I hope the gov will promote us a more practical and useful way to help them.
And ... without the priminister saying (stupid and very rude) things that will cause any more hatred.
