How much i can trust about ordering a notebook from e-bay?

My computer couldn't link to the internet anymore therefore i apologize for my late of reply na ka.

I have to go to the library in order to use the internet ah ka.

2 days ago i went to the computer stores; i found out that sony is so expensive.

For the same price at 2,300 CAD$ (multiply by 31.5 baht for the rate exchange) ,Toshiba is Processor M when Sony is still Pentium 4 with 2.08 GB processor. Moreover, the size of Sony is also bigger than Toshiba.

Finally, i found the one that i really like which is

M30-YSJ: Centrino 1.6GHz/ 80GB with Tru-Bright technology somehow it is so expensive with 2,600 CAD $ + tax 14%.... after calculation into thai currency, it almost hits 100,000 baht.

However when i checked on e-bay , it is cheaper; the lastest bid at this moment is only 2,125 CAD$.

Actually there was a guy before him bid at 1,825 CAD$, and this lastest guy bid  from 1,825 to be 2,125 $; that is too much.

P.S.1 this following is the link of e-bay that is selling the one that i want: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31562&item=3494581715&rd=1

P.S. 2 that PCM is the LAN-card ka which people in here don't use it anymore since the new laptops are built in; that is the reason why i want to get a new good quality of laptop in order to use it for at least 3 years.

    My questions are these followings:

    1. How much i can trust about e-bay?

    2. How can i be sure that when i pay money via Pay-pal, i'll get the stuff later on?

    3. Why the price between the factory and e-bay are so difference?

    4. What is the good time for bid this laptop? ..it has 2 days left.

    5. What do you think about this toshiba laptop?

Thank you so much in advance na ka
