Generally PTTEP salary is standard rate that is applied to all engineer graduates ... which isn't much in itself but, with six-month salary worth of bonus, it is certainly okay. One thing that i wonder .... 40k is now the rate for undergrad?? it used to be 35k ..... รายได้จาก ปตท.สพ คือจากการโกงประชาชน ... i disagree with the statement .... if the company wants to be competitive in the business and retain competent staff, it has to offer remuneration package that is comparable to other E&P companies "in Thailand" (of course taking into account a 100% job security PTTEP can offer, its package, financial wise, would be a little less than Chevron E&P and the like). So, if there is anything to complain about the large(er) paycheck, it would be that the company should utilise their staff better, if not to the maximum effect, and ensure that the money has been well spent on its workforce ... i.e. not hiring too many not-doing-anything-at-all but well connected individuals.
