เห็นว่าคำถามเรื่องความแตกต่างของ บัญชี การเงิน เศรษฐศาสตร์ มีมาให้เห็นบ่อยๆในห้องนี้คะ ระยะหลัง เริ่มมี Financial Engineering เข้ามาอีกตัว

เคยเห็นเพื่อนๆพี่ๆเข้ามาแนะนำให้รู้จักศาสตร์ตัวนี้ให้อ่านกันบ่อยๆแล้ว กระทู้นี้อยากมาเพิ่มเติมอีกนิดนึงคะ สำหรับน้องๆที่สนใจอยากจะเบนเข็มเข้ามาทางนี้

มีข้อควรรู้บางอย่าง ที่เราต้องรู้ เพื่อที่จะสามารถหลีกเลี่ยงกับปัญหาที่อาจตามมาหลังเรียนจบ เนื่องจากหางานทำอย่างที่เรียนมาไม่ได้นะคะ

เรื่องแรก คือ ค่าใช้จ่ายในการเรียน วิศวกรรมการเงินที่ิอเมริกา หรืออังกฤษ หรือที่อื่นๆ สูงมากทีเดียวคะ ต้องเตรียมตัว เตรียมกระเป๋า (สตางค์) ให้พร้อม ถามว่าคุ้มค่ากับการลงทุนไหม ตอบว่า คุ้มมากคะ ถ้าได้งาน quant job อย่างที่ตั้งใจ เพราะอัตราสูงลิบลิ่ว แต่อาจจะไม่คุ้มหากหางานเช่นนั้นไม่ได้ หากคุณคิดว่า ไม่เป็นไร เรื่องเงินเรื่องเล็ก ขอให้ได้เรียนก็พอ ก็จงก้าวต่อไปคะ

เรื่องที่สอง คือ qualification ของพวก quant ที่เราต้องทราบ ต้องทำอย่างไรเราถึงจะ qualified พอที่จะหางานเช่นนั้นได้ หลักๆนะคะ มีสองอย่าง

1. จบ ph.d.
2. ต้องเขียนโปรแกรมได้อย่างชำนาญ

ขาดอันใดอันหนึ่ง ประตูปิดตายสำหรับงาน quant คะ

แต่พอดู qualification แล้ว จะไม่แปลกใจว่าทำไมถึงได้เยอะขนาดนั้น
เป็นเหตุผลว่า ไม่ใช่ทุกคนที่เรียนจบแล้ว จะได้งานนี้นะคะ ต้องหัวกะทิจริงๆเท่านั้นคะ เพราะเงินเดือนสูงมากนั่นเอง บริษัทใหญ่ๆเท่านั้นถึงจะลงทุนกับบุคลากรประเภทนี้

ช่วงนี้ตลาดในไทย เริ่มเห็นรับสมัครบ้างแล้วคะ แต่งานไม่เหมือนกัน เงินไม่เหมือนกันแน่นอน
