To be a day trader will take your time more than you work in a company, especially if you go to the broker office instead of trading on line.
9 am - 10 am : read and listen to news, check ppre-opened prices, put orders etc.
10 am - 12.45 : watching real time, morning trading. Some times you may find your stock floor just to take a cup of coffee (not yet drink it) Some times, friends knocked at the toilet door you just entered to tell you that your stock was ceiling.
12.45-2.30 pm : Have lunch, go to bank, watch TV news, check stocks again.
2.30-5.30 pm : Afternoon trading, wait for matching, check and print your portfolio, check tomorrow technical etc.
After dinner : Read news, stocks chat room, watch other countries stocks, watch real time CNBC
Mid night : sleep
Holidays : still check news, meetings, read books about investment and stock, study technical graph of the stocks in your own portfolio and other interesting stocks
NO TIME LEFT as you may think
