As far as I know, in Germany husband and wife have to live separately 1 year before they could get divorce.
Your husband did not response to your request for divorce, which is not unusual. Getting divorce is expensive, just let a lawyer writing a letter here and there could end up each party at least 3000-5000 Euro. So the whole process might cost even more.
I don"t know what you signed before getting married. But as long as one party get out of the door, the separate period begins. You don"t really have to come back to Thailand for divorce.
If you move out and come back to Thailand, I wonder if you could sue him as he has neglected , abandoned you. Just curious.. Or you just file for a divorce.
Being married for more than 10 years and had to listen to stories like these from Thai women around, I could understand your situation pretty well. At least your husband is (TOO) honest. He told you the truth, that he had no wish to spend his life with you any more. He did not want to discuss because he know he had to pay, pay and pay..
I guess there is no need to talk as he did not want. (most Germans are like that). Time to let the laywer talk!
I , too came with my empty hands as well (the rest stay where it belongs in Bangkok) when I got married, but I won"t leave empty hands.
I have my opportunity cost..
I have no shame if I have to get divorced. This is my life, not others.
But I will be surely take home what other German women take as well.
