Becks still holds England hope
David Beckham does not believe his move to Major League Soccer will finally signal the death knell for his England career.
Since relinquishing the captaincy after last summer's World Cup finals, Beckham has not featured for his country under new coach Steve McClaren.
He has remained determined to reach a century of caps for England, having made 94 appearances to date.
Later this year, Beckham will be leaving Real Madrid to join MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy on a lucrative five-year contract.
It has been suggested his move to the United States will end any chance the midfielder had of forcing his way back into the England squad.
While the 31-year-old accepts he has had an 'amazing' international career, he retains hope of a recall from McClaren.
"I don't believe it's the end of my international career because I've always said - and I will always say - that while I am still playing football, I will be available to play for my country," Beckham is quoted in the News of the World.
"Whether it's in my hands or other people's hands, then it will be down to that decision.
"Of course I'm going to be available and if I get the call, then amazing.
"But if I don't, then I've had an amazing career in my country anyway."
