Bolton midfielder Mikel Alonso is likely to be out after undergoing tests following a blow to the head.
Ivan Campo should return to the starting line-up along with the likes of Nicolas Anelka, El-Hadji Diouf, Gary Speed, Kevin Nolan and Ricardo Gardner.
Chelsea are without the suspended Didier Drogba but could welcome back England midfielder Frank Lampard.
Michael Essien (calf) and Shaun Wright-Phillips (hamstring) are doubts and Mikel John Obi is also suspended.

Bolton striker Kevin Davies:
"We're unbeaten in five, although there's probably a few too many draws there for us, and we need to try and turn them into wins.
"We're a lot more confident that we have been in recent weeks and we'll try and get a result on Sunday.
"There's no doubt about it; it's going to be a difficult game for us and Chelsea had a good win in midweek against Valencia which will give them a boost. But I think we owe them up here because the last few seasons they've turned us over."
Chelsea manager Avram Grant:
"Frank has trained very hard in the last two weeks and he looks good. Of course I am happy that he could be ready for Sunday.
"Frank does a good job on the pitch not just in terms of goals, he does other things as well, and I will be very happy if he is fit.
"We don't know how long John Terry will have to wear the mask but he felt food with it - better than we thought he would. I didn't see any problem for him."
