United are in Stevan heaven
United are on the brink of signing Partizan Belgrade wonderkid Stevan Jovetic for £7million. Sir Alex Ferguson has already made the huge bid for the 17-year-old Montenegro international. Uniteds bid is a massive one for a teenager but Jovetic is special and Ferguson is acting quickly to snap him up. The striker made his senior international debut in a friendly against Hungary last season. Jovetic has played 54 games for Partizan and bagged 18 goals, including six this season.

In other transfer news, the Daily Mirror claims Phil Bardsley is set to sign for Bryan Robson's Sheffield United as Sir Alex starts to trim down his squad.
Carlos Tevez has praised Sir Alex for the support he has given the Argentine since he joined in the summer. "The help Ive had from Alex has been very important. I know he has total belief in me and Im very grateful to him because of it." said Tevez.
Following Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifiers, Wayne Rooney has been accused of dirty tricks by the Estonian who helped him end his goal drought. Rooney grabbed his first competitive strike for England in over three years thanks to a deflection off defender Raio Piiroja. But Piiroja claims he was elbowed by the striker in the first half at Wembley.
Evra's history lesson
Patrice Evra has revealed he has immersed himself in books and DVDs to learn more about United's rich history.
The 26-year-old Frenchman has become Sir Alex Ferguson's first-choice left-back since joining from Monaco nearly two years ago. Evra says an important part of settling into his surroundings was learning about United's past.
"I joined a club that has such a strong identity so I had to learn it," he told France Football. "I watched many cassettes, DVDs of Eric Cantona and have translated a lot of books. Now when an ex-player shakes hands with me, I know who he is."
Ferbruary's 50th anniversary of the Munich air crash is on the horizon, and learning about the tragedy has given Evra a better understanding of the fabric of the club.
"[Learning about] the plane crash in 1958 moved me," he said. "When I take the plane with Bobby Charlton, I ask myself, how can he do it after what he has been through?.
"I have more and more respect for this shirt. I advise everybody to be interested in his club, to identify yourself to it, it helped me."
