Keegan will turn around Magpies

Newcastle chief executive Chris Mort insists the board are fully behind manager Kevin Keegan as he bids to turn around the team´s fortunes.
The Magpies have not won in seven matches since Keegan returned for a second spell at St James´ Park and are just three points above the Barclays Premier League relegation zone, but Mort has no doubt he is the right man for the job.
Mort told BBC Radio Five Live´s Sportsweek programme: "Clearly Kevin wants to turn results around, that´s what he has come in to do. It is disappointing but it will come. Kevin has got the players playing very well and I am sure the results will follow."

Milan will play Arsenal with limited squad

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has suffered a triple injury blow ahead of their meeting with Arsenal FC on Tuesday after Emerson and Marek Jankulovski were ruled out of the game, and Clarence Seedorf could join them on the sidelines.
The trio were injured in the first half of the Rossoneri's 1-1 draw with S.S. Lazio on Saturday, with Seedorf taken off five minutes before the interval while Emerson and Jankulovski failed to emerge for the second half.
Emerson has suffered the recurrence of a fibula injury, while Czech left-back Jankolovski took a knock to his right knee and Milan medical officer Jean-Pierre Meersseman confirmed the pair will not feature against Arsenal at San Siro.

Keane unhappy over disallowed goal

Sunderland boss Roy Keane was left bemoaning another costly officiating decision that robbed his side of what would have been their first Barclays Premier League away win of the season.
The Black Cats at least stopped a run of 10 consecutive away defeats in the top flight with their goalless draw with Derby at Pride Park, but it could have been so much more.
Michael Chopra was clearly onside when he slipped a through ball from Andy Reid beyond Derby keeper Roy Carroll, but his strike was disallowed and Keane said: "We should have won it. It was not a classic, but in terms of the chances then we had the best of those."

Ali Daei named new Iran coach

TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran on Sunday named its former star player Ali Daei as the new coach of the national football team, in a shock move that ended a months-long search for a trainer of one for Asia's heavyweight sides.
Daei, the leading international scorer in football history, had been mooted last month as an outside choice to lead the Team Melli to the 2010 World Cup but the focus had been on the candidacy of Iranian-American Afshin Qotbi.
"After examining Ali Daei's plans, he was officially named as head coach of the national team," ISNA quoted the Iranian football federation's head Ali Kafashian as saying.
"Initial talks were held with Ali Daei over the past days and today we held a meeting with him where he submitted his plans to the federation," he added.
Iran has conducted a months-long search for a new football coach in a saga that has seen a dozen top foreign names mooted, two trainers seemingly appointed before being rejected and a plethora of contradictory statements.
The national side made a disastrous start to their World Cup campaign last month by only drawing with minnows Syria in a performance that betrayed the effects of the lack of a coach.
Daei will now be charged with preparing the team for Iran's next qualifier is against Kuwait on March 26 in Kuwait City.
"He will bring all his plans for the national team and do his best at the level of head coach, like the he did when he was one of the world's best players," Kafashian told state television.
