Barcelona's Deco is reportedly poised to move to Stamford Bridge. The midfielder was given permission by coach Scolari to leave the team hotel in Switzerland. The Portuguese flew from Geneva yesterday morning, allegedly headed for Dubrovnik, where Roman Abramovich has a boat moored.
New coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be handed a massive tranfer fund to bring in some of the top players in the world. Kaka is being lined up for a 55 million move, while Robinho and Ricardo Quaresmac are also being considered.
Ricardo Carvallho, who had been linked with a move to Inter Milan, could well be convinced to stay now that Scolari is in charge.
Didier Drogba and Michael Essien have also been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after Jose Mourinho became the new coach at Inter Milan, although Inter have said they are not desperate for Drogba.
Drogba is, however, being targeted by AC Milan, who have been given permission to talk with the striker. The Italian club have not been granted speaking rights with Andriy Shevchenko. Chelsea are asking for 30 million for Drogba, and will use him as a bargaining chip to bring Kaka to the Premier League.
Frank Ribery, a summer target, would cost 31 million, according to Bayern Munich, while Samuel Eto'o, also reportedly a target, would cost 22 million if Chelsea managed to fight off Inter Milan first.
