BIG-MATCH FACTS The City of Manchester Stadium hosts the clash between the most lethal attack in the Premier League (City, 16 goals) and the meanest defence (Liverpool, leaked just two).
Liverpool and Chelsea are the only Premier League clubs going into this weekend without defeat in any competition so far this term, and joint top of the table with 14 points.
Manchester City have not managed to score a Premier League goal against Liverpool in exactly nine hours, since Kiki Musampa scored in the 90th minute of the 1-0 victory on 9 April 2005 at Eastlands, which gave Stuart Pearce his first win in charge.
That was the Citizens' only win in eight home league clashes with Liverpool since a 2-1 success in April 1995.
Distance between the clubs: 36 miles (59 kilometres)
