Ana to make doubles return

Ana will play her second doubles match of the year, and her first in tournament play since June 2007, when she lines up alongside Italy's Francesca Schiavone at the Kremlin Cup on Monday. The pair entered the draw as wild cards and will face the Spanish-Russian pairing of Nuria Llagostera Vives and Elena Vesnina in round one.
Ana's last match on a doubles court was on in February when she and Jelena Jankovic edged to a crucial 2-6, 7-6, 7-6 victory over Romania in the Fed Cup.
Prior to that, Ana's last competitive doubles match was at Wimbledon last year when she lost in the first round alongside Daniela Hantuchova.
The 20-year-old, who has eschewed the pairs game in order to focus on her singles, explained her decision to play doubles in Moscow: "It's my first indoor tournament in a long time, and playing doubles will help me adapt to the conditions. It will also give me some more match play, and I really enjoy playing doubles too."
Ana and Schiavone could face top seeds and world No.1s Cara Black and Liezel Huber in the quarter-finals if they win their opening round match.
