Personally,I understand is that, farangs will not look down on thais people, they will not harm us if we get their language wrong. . Ask any foreigns to speak Thai, see how they would do! When Thais hear foreigners speak Thai, it makes them happy. It puts a smile on our faces to hear someone looking the complete opposite of a Thai person speak our language. It may be the same case with farangs hearing Thais speak their language, it does not matter if its right or wrong.
PS.To me, this is a load of nonsense as everyone, when trying something different, gets it wrong the first time. No body on this planet is perfect, even God was not perfect, look at the evil creatures who call themselves human that he created.
