Cristiano Ronaldo, Casillas, Kaka and Benzema in the running for the award
France Football has named the 30 finalists for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
Last year's winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Kaka and Karim Benzema are among the nominees.
Cristiano Ronaldo has another chance to take home a Ballon d'Or,
but he faces competition from 29 other players, including teammates Casillas, Kaka and Benzema.
The winner will be announced in December.
Five players have won the Ballon d'Or as Madridistas.
Alfredo di Stefano won in 1957 and 1959, Raymond Kopa in 1958,
Luis Figo in 2000, Ronaldo in 2002 and Fabio Cannavaro in 2006.
La Ligas has the most candidates with 13, followed by the Premier League with 10,
the Calcio (4), Bundesliga (2) and Championnat (1).
