Manchester City Boss Roberto Mancini Plays Down Dressing Room Unrest Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has cooled talk of any dressing room unrest, claiming that he is happy with the attitude displayed by his charges.
Following the high-profile sacking of Mark Hughes, there were several reports concerning a number of senior players being unhappy with the situation at Eastlands.
Craig Bellamy is believed to have led a six-man delegation to protest the 'Sparky' dismissal, while Roque Santa Cruz and Shay Given were also said to be unsettled.
"I thought the players trained very well," Mancini said, according to BBC Sport.
"I think I have a good team and we have only one problem and that is many players injured.
"I have a good relationship with the players. I appreciate some players are close to Mark but that is a good thing for a manager."
The former Inter boss joked: "When I go away from Manchester City in 15 years after five Premier League titles and four cups the players will have the same situation with me."
The Italian will make his managerial debut in England against Stoke City on Boxing Day, and insists that his side have a tough game on their hands.
"I am very excited for Saturday's match," he added.
"I hope for the supporters it will be a good day and I hope to win for them because that is important.
"Stoke are a good, physical team - typically English. I watched their game against Aston Villa when they played well [but lost]. http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/12/25/1708341/manchester-city-boss-roberto-mancini-plays-down-dressing
