Djokovic family prepare building of tennis centre
Novaks own Roland Garros
Novak Djokovics family are working hard on preparing the construction of a major tennis complex in the Serbian capitals municipality of New Belgrade. The centre should be the future venue of the Serbia Open ATP event, which saw its premiere edition staged in 2009 at the Milan Gale Muskatirovic sports centre.
The official web page of Beobuild Real Estate agency reveals the details of the future tennis complex and its centrepiece a 5,000-seater tennis arena. The proposed project draft and its visualisation very much resemble the central court at Roland Garros, with also a number of indoor and outdoor courts to be built at the site.
Djokovic familys own company Family Sport further plan to provide accompanying facilities on the premises, such as a hotel, restaurants, a shopping area and much more.
With the imminent completion of the project, Novak Djokovic would become one of the rare players to have such a modern complex in their own possession. Besides being a place to host the worlds top players at its ATP event, the tennis centres full-time purpose would be a training ground for talented kids to train tennis.
