Vincenzo Camilieri- Promising centre back signed from Reggina this season. Touted as one of Italy's brightest defensive prospects a few years back, a shadowy move to Chelsea followed. It was ultimately I'll fated and despite great I'll feeling surrounding the initial move from Reggina's president he ended up welcoming the talent back. A tall and strong central defender whose elegance and reading of the game are his best assets.
Vittorio Ferrero- Another promising central defender, Vittorio Ferrero is clearly well rated by Del Neri who has used him liberally throughout pre season and has named him as a substitute in almost all of our games this season. Good all-round defender who is now a fixture in Italy's U20 side (after being inexplicably left out of the U19 championship side). Excelled in a preseason game against Hamburg.
Manuel Giandonato- The teams midfield lynchpin, he is another example of a recent batch of excellent centre midfielders being nurtured in our academy. Elegant and composed beyond his years he is also favoured by Del Neri. Comparable to Claudio Marchisio and Luca Marrone in style and as a fellow Turin native. Although officially a Defensive Midfielder by trade, like the two aforementioned players his style is more reminiscent of a box-to-box midfielder.
Fillipo Boniperti- A player noted for his great technical skill. But also legendary surname being grandson of Juventus legend Giampiero Boniperti. Can play as a shadow striker or on either flank to good effect. His dribbling is good but most importantly incisive, with a conclusion (in terms of a assist or goal) in mind. His crossing is also a notable facet of his game. Often entrusted with the captains armband so far this season.
Niccoló Giannetti- Star of the Siena youth system signed on loan this summer he has made a great transition. Quick, Skillfull and with a great strikers instinct. He is a second striker with a broad skillset, equally comfortable with either foot or head. He has been in good goalscoring form in the championship and has put in some good displays since his Italy U20 callups.
Alberto Libertazzi- A very talented Centre forward. Like many of his Juventus compatriots was overlooked in selection for the U19 Euro's. Showed his goalscoring talent in the Villarreal Perosa friendly with a impressive brace, the second goal being quite stunning. A thoroughly modern centre forward, very adept at challenging for the ball in the air, but equally skilled with the ball at his feet.
