HOME AND AWAY: JEFFREY BRUMA

After a spell on the sidelines, Home and Away returns with a word from Dutch defender Jeffrey Bruma, who prefers the quiet life when it comes to team-mates...
HOME
How do things work at Cobham for you?
I sit with Alex and Ramires, the Brazilians. When I moved up to the first team dressing room I could pick where I sat so I chose to sit with the quiet guys.
Which of your team-mates impressed you this weekend?
I think Paulo Ferreira, because he did a very good job against Gareth Bale, and everyone was talking about how he would do before the game.
Does the crowd ever grab your attention during a game?
Sometimes, but normally you are so focused on the game. Sometimes if you do something good or hear your name the noise will get your attention, but I can't always understand what they are saying. There are a lot more people at Stamford Bridge than reserve games so individual voices don't stand out so much.
What's the most memorable dressing down you've experienced at half-time?
It was in the reserves when Brendan Rodgers was here, away at Liverpool. We played so badly and had been up there on the bus, he kicked some things around in the dressing room and let us know he really wasn't happy!
What is 'home' for you?
Home for me is Rotterdam, that's what I think of. I've been in England more than three years now but it is still not home to me!
AWAY
Which other sports do you like watching on TV?
I like tennis and basketball, and I like to play tennis at home in Holland
Did you know any of the opposition at the weekend?
I knew all of the Tottenham players, but not personally no.
Any famous friends?
Do footballers count? In that case no I don't think I have any.
What is your favourite place to get away from it all?
I like to escape in Spain, I have been there with Salomon Kalou, who is sat next to me now, and the weather and the food are perfect!
