"...He has been around with all type of players like Jon Jensen, Steve Hutchinson, Jeff Backus, Mourice Williams, Tai Streets, David Terrell, Marquis Walker, Anthony Thomas..."
Agreed. I've realized very well how good of this Michigan's O-Line was. They are now a reliable in teams they're playing with, especially Jansen. :) I had hoped Marty to take Hutchinson in '01 Draft to be his linemate but he ended up with Rod Gardner (WR, Clemson, #15 overall and Hutchinson was chosen 3 spots later by Seattle) which is not a bad pick.
However, Terrell is considerd a bust for me, just ask a Bear fan around. He didn't show much before getting hurt last season. Streets has yet emerged as a reliable target but could be after J.J. Stokes is gone. A-Train is too consistent. Walker had never played a down with the Bucs before being traded to the Cards (for RB Thomas Jones). They were the Wolverines' stars but facing a hard time earning NFL roster spots. This is what I'm talking about; Pro and College levels are totally different.
After wathching the Patriots outscored the Giants last night and the Bucs tonight, this is points I came up with;
Brady is nothing more than a solid starter, which I think that's the way Belichick likes and wants him to be. He's a decent but not great QB who can get the job done, nothing fancy. This is the reason they god rid of Bledsoe. Belichick didn't want a star here and Drew certainly was. Bledsoe also was the team leader and could be too much for him to handle. When system does matter, star is the odd man out. Pats play as a team, the ball was spreaded around the field to 5-6 receivers including from the backfield, so their WRs corp. has no fantasy value if you look from fantasy perspective. Their D was solid and can carry the team further than last year. Rosevelt Colvin (OLB) is the significant upgrade for the unit, as well as Rodney Harrison (SS). Patriot fans should be glad.
#2 string is Damon Huard (ex-Dolphin) who is really also a backup. I think I like Rahan Davey though. He showed some toughness and good decision makings even played as #3. He's big and serviceable and could earn #2 job in the near future, just needs more experience. The rookie Kliff Kingsbury was terrible. He was clearly struggling behind the line even has a good size. I'm not sure about his arm and had never seen him play in college. You guys might be able to tell me about that. His college numbers were really impressive, BTW.
Then, you can imagine Applewhite on a practice squad (not yet but he's heading to, I think). He's a UDFA; Undrafted Free Agent, who's even behind Kingsbury. That means his chance is less than slim to play.
