...on Arsenal's title chances
"There's a long way to go and Chelsea are in a fantastic position. We'll keep going and fight until the championship finishes in May. We have the spirit and desire to fight back."
...on Bolton's performance
"They played a cup game, fought for every ball and showed the determination that got them through. Did they deserve to win the game? I feel we had enough chances, compared to their chances, to score goals. But at the end of the day the only thing that counts is the result."
...on the nature of the game
"I felt that in the first half we created the chances but we were not clinical enough. From then on, with the goal, we put Bolton in an ideal situation. They wanted to catch us on the break and you do not want to be 1-0 down in these cases. If you look at the possession we had in the game and they had it was appalling. But as long as you don't come back to 1-1 it suits them. We were not clinical in every department today. We lacked determined effort in the final third and we didn't show great security in our defending. That is where we were caught."
...on the pressure of playing catch-up
"It adds pressure a little bit but when you play at Arsenal Football Club it does not matter. You have that every week. If you can't live with pressure you don't win championships. It is part of the job."

"I do not know how damaging this defeat is. Of course it is a big disappointment - we were in a situation where we knew we had to win the game."
...on Chelsea
"It doesn't look as though Chelsea will slip up. They are in an ideal position. Everybody dreams to be 10 points ahead. It is too early to say they will never lose points but they don't look vulnerable at the moment. However we should not be worrying about Chelsea. We should be worrying about us. In the last two games we have taken one point out of six. The title remains a dream when you don't win the games."
