Dear Princess (sorry if you are a guy),
I meant the 'lights' from hundred fishing nets in the north part gulf of thailand. these fishing nets are with very low freeboard/almost foot above sea surface. They are considered navigation hazards, can tangled ship's propeller. I did not mean the 'navigation lights' from ships.
My experience as mariner was on some 100,000 dwt. Was too on some smaller like the handy size 40,000 dwt, and some others. I do not have the most experience sailing worldwide, but sone oceans never been there. They are such as Antarctic, west coast of Africa.
I too heva never been thru Suez canal. But thru the Panama, the Kiel many many times. Could not remember how many.
