“Joshua! Oh god! Where are you, Joshua!” Nestor grumbled, as he walked outside the corridors.
“Nestor. I need to talk to you something really, really scary,” Joshua said.
“Me too, this is really important as well.”
“Okay, I’ll start first. I was in my Crytozoology with Professor Walker and then I was taking down notes about, the Chupacabra, the Jackalope, and many more. To my surprise, this magical thing happens and those words gave me a warning.”
“Beware of the Goblins,” Nestor interrupted. “That was what I am gonna tell you. And even, Professor McEwen mouthed that exact thing to me!”
Joshua stared outside the window, “Maybe it’s about Arthepolis. Those goblins might not want us to save them, but if we were the real heroes, we wouldn’t be heartless to give up just because of the warning the supernatural gave us.”
“Thanks god, I found you here. Boys, you need to be really careful about the goblins,” said Professor McEwen, “I know it so well, that you boys had to save our world. Yes, I am an Arthepolian…close your mouths boys. I knew all about the creatures so I came from the door between Arthepolis and the earth to teach the humans. Boys, you need to beware of the goblins they are deadly!”
“Professor, I never knew! You taught every creature as if you have met them!” Nestor said happily.
“Yes, I have met almost every creature. I need to run now, boys. I have to report to Sir Phillammon that goblins are on loose!” Professor ran ahead, and his figure disappeared into the dark slowly.
Nestor tilted his smile as if he didn’t believe in anything professor had said. He stared at the warning on his lecture notes, tearing it off to bits and threw it behind him. “It’s so mind-boggling. It doesn’t sound real at all! And my favorite professor was one of those Arthepolis people. Tomorrow night, we would enter to this unknown world. If we didn’t make through the battles, I won’t be miserable, instead I’ll be relieved to save people who need our help.”
“Nothing is gonna with us or our lives. Remember, its god’s plan to make us this way to be the heroes of Arthepolis, and we can’t change our fate. God would then take our hands and take us to a place, not every has a ticket to,” Joshua smiled. “Be optimistic!”
“Besides, Joshua, you wanna a lift home?” Nestor changed the subject.
“Thanks but nope. I have to stay after to finish off some lab. See you tomorrow!” Joshua said.
“I’ll be going now, see you.” Nestor said as both boys punched each others fist. Joshua headed to the science lab, while Nestor went to the car park. Before getting in his car, he saw big red letters on the walls where his car was parked.
THOU SHALL NOT GO TO ARTHEPOLIS,
WE, GOBLINS WOULD TEAR THY SOUL APART.
Nestor got in his car and drove off the parking lot swiftly. He picked up his cellphone and speed dialed to Joshua, but there was no answer. Unexpectedly, a rough lumpy hand grabbed Nestor’s neck from the backseat, and its long nails nearly prodded into his flesh. He took his calligraphy pen from his pocket and pierced the hand. Without more ado, the goblin pulled its hand away from Nestor’s neck.
The boy screeched his car to a dark, closed street, and turned his head back to the backseat. He couldn’t believe what he saw. Ugly, with a bubbly-like skin and a mean look on the face, just half the height of an average human, parted his lips and said, “Thou shall not go to Arthepolis.”
Nestor frowned and asked with the most sarcastic voice, “Excuse me beasts, I think you are…..Like well…. I don’t know where the hell you came from but please get out of my car now.”
“ We would tear thy soul apart!” the goblin said and did a binary fusion, forming into six goblins from one.
“Holy !” Nestor cursed and got out from his car. “Get out of my car now! Don’t you have anything to do rather than to tear people’s soul apart? Let me suggest you to go back to your parents. Oh no, I nearly forgot. Your parents might be so darn tired after searching for your small minds!”
“Thou and thy friend shall not go to Arthepolis. Or thy friend will die.”
“Stop talking would you? Speaking of dying, I guess you would be the one who would……” Nestor paused when he heard a yell. He turned his head to the scream and dropped his jaws. Joshua appeared from nowhere, with a small goblin climbed up on Joshua’s back. The goblin was threatening Joshua with a dagger at his throat. Joshua gave Nestor a wink and he nudged two fingers right into the goblin’s eyes. The goblin let out a loud yelp and freed Joshua, as the dagger fell onto the ground. The goblin closed his both eyes and cried, “Gr… Gob! Go to get them! You stupid gob! Don’t you see?”
Those six goblins from Nestor’s car flew out from the window, breaking the window into pieces. Every window of his Audi car was being shattered. Fire grew in his eyes, as Nestor and took a baseball bat from the trash can near by and beat a goblin on its head with full of revenge. “You pathetic jerk! How dare you break my window! You fool! You…..”
Joshua kicked a goblin and seized him by the hair, warning “Go back where you came from. Either we would kill you, or you go back. Go tell your master that we are going to Arthepolis. Nothing will stop us.”
Nestor held the heads of the goblins and smacked them together. “This is your lesson for destroying my car! You stupid, pathetic, idiots!” Soon, all the seven goblins were groaning on the ground, with wounds and greenish blood all over their ugly, short bodies.
“That is still too little for you, jerky goblins! I will never forgive you! I’ll kill you!” Nestor was going forth to the goblins, trying to strangle each of them to death. “No more of Mr. Nice Guy! You lighted the volcano in me and I will never….”
"Nestor, that’s enough! They had enough. Look they are nearly dead! Let them suffer,” Joshua said as he pulled Nestor back.
