The five heroes joined their hands and sat in a circle with closed eyes, trying to bring their powers out. The circle had a mixture of temperature, both hot and cold. A sudden pain hurt everyone’s palms as they quickly broke the circle. “What was that?” Alexandria asked. “What was that sharp pain?”

“We weren’t concentrating well enough,” Chiroman sighed, “we need to practice over again. Let’s try again.”

The second practice was better than the first but the power were not strong enough. Once again, the sun was captured by the mountains. Stars were twinkling above the skies. Everyone went to their own cabins and had a goodnight sleep. Andromeda couldn’t sleep well because she had had recovered from her injuries. She decided to take a walk at the upper deck to take in some fresh air. She heard footsteps from the upper deck and saw Chiroman in the middle of a circle of candles. He was lighting up each candle with his fingertips. Andromeda blew wind and the candles were lit off immediately.

“Girl, are you suffering from some insomnia?” Chiroman asked without turning back.
“How did you know it was me?”
                 “ESP.”

Andromeda laughed and walked over to Chiroman and sat right next to him. She picked up a candle and observed it. “You are acting as if you have never seen a candle before, Andrie,” Chiroman teased.

“I am just wondering how great a candle is. With just fire, the candle would bring brightness through the dark. Without fire, the candle would worth nothing at all. A candle looks so beautiful with just a light of fire. Feelings of both lost and hope, romance and grief all lies in a candle,” Andromeda told Chiroman.

Chiroman lighted up the candle Andromeda was holding. “But with fire, fire will keep on burning the candle until the wax melts and the candle would be gone. That is when hope is gone.”

“I think a candle is just like a person’s life. It keeps going on and on. Once the fire died out, or once the candle had been completely burn, that is the end of our lives,” Andromeda said as she blew the light of the candle away. “I’m going to sleep right now. I need to gain some energy for tomorrow’s combat.”

The princess walked back to her cabin and jumped on to her bed. She knew she had a feeling that she can’t deny. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she closed her eyes to sleep.

“We would win victory today!” Balius shouted in the early morning. “Victory would be ours!”

“Don’t be that sure, Balius. Let’s say we pray that victory would be ours,” Nestor corrected.

Balius stared at Nestor and turned away. Alexandria laughed and picked Balius up, “What Nestor said is true, dear Balius. Just don’t be so sure of anything. We just hope because if we didn’t have what we desire, we would be really depress and all that.”

The five heroes were prepared for the slaying of Medusa. They had their weapons ready: Joshua with his long staff, Nestor with his long sharp spear, Lord Chiroman with his nonchaku and throwing stars, Alexandria with her wand and Andromeda with her bladed ring and razor blades. They wore serious looks on their faces and got off the ship. Unigasus and Balius followed behind those heroes, heading toward the palace where Medusa lives.

As they stood in front of the fence, they looked around for the last time. “Looking for me? I’m that popular?”

“It’s Medusa! Don’t look!” Balius shouted, “Join your powers now!”

The heroes quickly held each other hands and chanted loudly. Medusa kept on laughing evilly as she flew around the circle of the heroes.

“The power of the earth! Release your power from beneath!” Joshua chanted loudly as the earth between the heroes was standing rose up, creating a floating ball of earth.

“The power of the water from all rivers and oceans rise up to above!” Nestor chanted after, when water from the river evaporates into water vapors and combined with the water met the earth.

“The power of fire from sun above sent down your heat underneath!” This time, a rock of fire fell from the hot sun and combined with the other two powers.

“The power of wind from the four directions, unleash your power within!” Strong wind from the North, South, East and West when round the ball of powers.

“The power of magic from the heavens cast the magic and makes the power of five!” A sparkling bright light from the heaven hits with the ball of powers, creating a beautiful effect. Unigasus threw the shield to cover the powers as the shield slowly absorbed in all the power.

“So what are you trying to do with me?” Medusa asked nastily. “You freed my Unigasus! How could you!”

“Medusa! Pick someone your own size! Come one and fight with me!” Balius shouted.

Medusa flew right to Balius and reached out her hands to pick Balius up. Unigasus used his hooves to kick Medusa’s hands and she fell onto the ground. The winged unicorn approached Medusa and neighed loudly.

“Boy, I gave you food, I treat you well. Better than that ironclad bull. You got to spare my life and kill those heroes!” Medusa screamed, “You traitor!”

The Unigasus flipped his wings and neighed in front of Medusa’s face. “Unigasus said he don’t work with evil ugly creatures like you,” Balius explained, “So, prepare your death, Medusa.”

Lord Chiroman took the shield and followed the hissing of Medusa’s serpent’s hair. “You think it’s so easy to slay us, did you? You wanted that amulet so badly, and I shall tell you one more time that today would be your end.”

“Never!” Medusa screamed as she pulled out a sword from her knight’s statue. “With your closed eyes, you can’t fight with me anyway!” Medusa swung the sword and hit the shield. The shield gave her a effect that she was pushed down to the ground. Medusa got up quickly and saw Alexandria and Andromeda standing at the side. Their amulets hanged around their necks would be easy to be joined now.

Medusa ran towards the two girls and squeezed pulled both amulets from their necks. “I got the amulets!” Medusa exclaimed as the lifted the amulets up with her hands.

“Don’t!” Joshua shouted as he beat the earth with his staff. The ground cracked open between the feet of Medusa. She lost her balance and the amulet fell between the cracks.

“My amulet!” Medusa screamed, “You human boy! You made me lost my amulet!” the creature flew towards Joshua and wrestled him down the earth. “You earthly boy! You destroy my amulet!”

“Look’s who’s talking, Medusa! You think you can own everything by yourself. The amulet belongs to the good, not an evil creature like you!” Joshua yelled.

Nestor made a crystal out of ice and looked through it. He knew that he wouldn’t get stone if he looked through the crystal. Nestor used his spear and release water to wet Medusa’s hair. The serpent stops hissing and feel dead. Medusa turned back and saw Nestor holding the ice to look at her.

“Another earthly boy. You think you are smarter than I am, and I prove to show you are just idiots!” Medusa insulted and broke the crystal into pieces. Nestor closed his eyes immediately and punched the Medusa’s face. Medusa cried and strangled Nestor with both hands. “Jerk! Die you evil boy!”
