Just came home from Carnegine Hall. My heart is still beating fast and feeling unreal. Do I get crazy? Yump, I think, kind of. Seo Jin Ssi, have you seen a crazy woman in black coat tonight during the photo session trying to approach the stage? Do you think she's running for Lee Sun Hee ssi or Lee Seung Gi ssi? No, she's running for you tonight! OK, now let me clam down and talked about this from the beginning.
When I just learned the news that Seo Jin ssi is going to new york, I don't know why he's flying here in such an unpleasant season of the city (hmmmmm, have to admit that I am not a very passionate fans), but after digging out the news, I realized that Seojin ssi is coming for Lee Sun Hee ssi's concert, in Carnegie Hall. OMG, it was Feb 2nd already. I checked the ticket immediately, only the expensive one left. Seo Jin ssi will be giving the opening remarks only. Should I go for a show for several minutes only and paying more than a hundred? Well, I hesitate for a second and then decided to go. There is not much interesting things to do here in the New Year, and Kpop is always one of my favor, why not?
For the first time, I realized how many Korean in NYC. When I got out of subway tonight, the line was so long that has been turning around the corner; and yes, definitely, it is almost sold out. When I picked up the ticket, I still hear inquiries for tickets, even in the middle of the concert when I went to bathroom, I still hear someone arrived late and asked whether they can stay outside the hall so that they could hear the song. So for the first time, I sit on the first floor of Carnegie Hall, special thanks to Seo Jin ssi. My seat was an aisle seat on BB row, the staff and the SBS shooting team were just behind me. This is bad, because I won't get any chance to take pictures or do any filming. Well, I finally decided to record Seo Jin ssi' speech instead.
Finally the show started, waves of shouts and applause when the light turned dark, and, here comes our Seo Jin ssi, in blue suites, with tons of smile, seriously and truly, tons of smiles melting your heart in a cold winter. He looked so amiable and the smiles never faded from his face. Hey, you are such a warm guy, why always in a cool cold role? or because have a warm heart so the cool cold role you played always made me feel warm? This is the only thing I remember from his speech, because I don't understand a word of his opening remark, but his voice is so gentle and soft that I enjoyed so much listening to his speech. I only managed to recorded his speech, here is the DL. If anyone can do any translation about his speech, it will be greatly appreciated.
After the introduction, the show begins. I don't know most of the songs she sang, just knew the first one, Pray of Girl, but I enjoyed the concert definitely. She's fabulous, and have a wide range of styles, from ballad to rock songs. Especially when you see the waved hands, shook their bodies, and screamed wildly, you won't be able to just sit there. for a minute, I double myself was in radio city rather then Carnegie Hall.
The middle section is Lee Seung Gi ssi's performance. He's appearance also shook the hall, the girls sitting next to me almost jumped out of the chair, but she was so cool just minutes ago!
The show ended in thrilling climax, Lee Sun Hee encored twice. People just don't wanna leave, but I felt a little bit lost. Yes, I wanna see Seo Jin ssi again, 4 minutes for a night was toooooooooo short! I know the door to the back stage, it is at the north upper rear exit of the hall, so I went there. Many people have been waiting outside. The door was open but Mr security was standing right in front of the open door, so I can't even see anything from there. Well, I think I won't get any chance to see Seo Jin ssi again, and it is getting late and cold, I might have to leave. So I follow the folks to the front exit.It was so crowded and moved very slowly. Suddenly I hear a staff saying please go this way, it is quicker. Nobody moving, but I saw her pointing the side door leading back to the hall. I think, yeah, why not, I would just like to stay a little longer in the hall. So I get into the hall again, OMG! You know what? I saw all performance staff are taking photos on the stage, Seo jin ssi was on the left side. I scream out and ran towards them. A security kept saying sorry, miss, you can stay here, I just reply with smile, 'I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.' and this is a miracle, he didn't throw me out of the door and let me approached the stage and took several pictures. I was so exciting and my hand was shaking,so only two pictures turn out to be OK. Seo jin ssi only standing on the most left hand side, changed back to casual dress already, black sweaters and scarfs, talking nicely with the staff. Ahhh, never think that I would see him in such a close distance. I was just stand below the stage. I wanna shouted "Seo Jin ssi, may I take a picture with you?" but I opened my mouth, nothing came out. I guess I just can't be too greedy, or MR security will throw me out there immediately. The photo session lasted about two minutes and they returned back to stage. Ahhh, Seo Jin ssi, bye, take care. Tomorrow is a nice day, you can take the time to look around, but there is another storm on Saturday, please stay warm or go home before that.
It is true that I dream of taking pictures with him or getting autograph from Seo Jin ssi, but I've already seen him in a close distance, and saw that he's in a very good spirit. Getting a autograph won't make me love him more or less. This is a great gift for the new year already. So I decided to leave. Several fans are still waiting outside at the side door.
