แปลกๆอยู่ เพราะทำไม ยกเลิกอันเก่า ต้องยกเลิกอย่างไม่มีอคติ เลยลองไปเปิดดิกดู เจอว่าเป็นสำนวนที่ใช้ในภาษากฏหมาย แปล
คล้ายๆว่า ไม่มีผลกระทบ ใน Websters ให้ความหมายแบบนี้ without prejudice, Law. without
dismissing, damaging, or otherwise affecting a legal interest or demand. ส่วนใน Longmans contemp. Dic. ให้ความหมายว่า without harming or affecting something. E.g. He was able to turn down the promotion without prejudice, and applied again in several years later. แปลได้ว่า ปฏิเสธการเลื่อนตำแหน่งโดยไม่มีผลกระทบที่ตามมา เป็นต้น
ส่วนสำนวนตรงข้ามคือ to the prejudice of something แปลว่า in a way that has a harmful effect or influence on something
