In this lesson, we will cover 7 very common idioms that contain the word 'all'. literally = adverb อย่างแท้จริง อย่างไม่เลยเกิด เป็นไปตามตัวอักษร 7 Idioms in English - 'All' 7 สำนวน เกี่ยวกับ - 'All'    Hello my name is Valen, and this is the lesson on idioms. สวัสดีค่ะ วีเลนนะคะ และนี่คือบทเรียนเรื่อง idioms หรือ สำนวน  idioms = สำนวน So idioms is a phrase, that used English word. สำนวน คือ วลี กลุ่มคำ หรือถ้อยคำสำนวนในภาษาอังกฤษ phrase = noun วลี สำนวน ถ้อยคำ กลุ่มคำ โวหาร คำคม And it's an expression, so the words don't represent the literal meaning.  ...  ที่ไม่ได้มีความหมายตรงตัวค่ะ Whichis why idioms are sometime  hard to understand for ESL learner. ซึ่ง(นั่นเป็นเหตุผลที่ว่าทำไม)บางครั้งสำหรับนักเรียนที่เรียนภาษาอังฤษเป็นภาษาที่สอง ถึงเข้าใจ(มัน)ได้ยากค่ะ ESL - English as a Second Language So today, I'm gonna take you through quite of few idioms that use the word "All" ดังนั้นวันนี้ เราก็จะมาเรียนกันบางสำนวนที่ใช้คำว่า All กัน OK. So all of these idioms, that we gonna go through today, are commonly use in English conversation. สำนวนที่เราจะเรียนกันวันนี้ เหล่านี้พบได้ทั่วไปในบทสนทนาภาษาอังกฤษนะคะ I'm not gonna teach you any of the really out there one. This one all is use quite often. ชั้นจะไม่สอนอะไรที่ยากหรือไม่ได้ใช้ค่ะ สำนวนเหล่านี้ใช้บ่อยค่ะ So, the first of all, we gonna learn is   1.  All your eggs in one basket. All your eggs in one basket. So here's the sentence. ประโยคตัวอย่างค่ะ You usually gonna here it as, in the negative, so ปกติเราใช้ในรูปปฏิเสธ เป็น Don't put all your eggs in one basket อย่าเอาไข่ทั้งหมดใส่ไว้ใน 1 ตะกร้า (ให้กระจายความเสี่ยง) and what's it mean because all the eggs are fragile ความหมายคือ เพราะไข่มันเปราะบาง and they break, If you put all your egg in one basket, ถ้าคุณรวมมันไว้ในตะกร้าใบเดียว if you drop it, you gonna loose all your egg at once. ถ้าคุณทำมันตก คุณก็จะเสียไข่ทั้งหมดในคราวเดียว So the meaning in that phrase is ดังนั้น ความหมายของวลีนี้ก็คือ = don't put like - ,spread the risk out, ให้กระจายความเสี่ยง - don't put everything into อย่าใส่ทุกอย่างเข้าไว้ด้วยกัน ,so you betting something, don't put all your money on one horse, for example. เช่น คุณวางพนัน, อย่าวางเงินทั้งหมดที่ม้าตัวเดียว เป็นต้น So, don't take a risk, you gonna loose everything. ดังนั้น อย่าเสี่ยงนะคะ, คุณจะเสียหมดทุกอย่าง It's what this mean. นั่นคือความหมายค่ะ Don't put all your eggs in one basket แก้ไขเมื่อ 22 มี.ค. 55 13:20:53 จากคุณ : lovelypriest เขียนเมื่อ : 22 มี.ค. 55 13:09:33

ความคิดเห็นที่ 2 OK the next idioms we going to learn is โอเค สำนวนต่อไปที่เราจะเรียน คือ   2. All ears. So, we hear with our ears. เราได้ยินกับหูของเรา And if you listening to somebody, และถ้าเรากำลังฟังคนพูดอยู่ and you want to say, I'm listening. เราอยากจะบอกว่า เราฟังอยู่นะ A common expression that you use, is เราใช้ I'm all ears. So, usually, you use this one in referred yourself. ปกติแล้ว เราใช้เมื่อพูดถึงตัวเราเอง You shouldn't say  he all ears. เราไม่ใช้ว่า เขาฟังอยู่นะ You usually say, I'm all ears. เราใช้ว่า ชั้นฟังอยู่ So, and if you listening somebody's telling something, ดังนั้น ถ้าเรากำลังฟังบางคนกำลังเล่าอะไรอยู่ you  say, เราใช้ I'm all ears = it means หมายความว่า , you listen.ชั้นฟังอยู่นะ All ears. OK Alright, next idioms is All in your head.   3. All in your head.  All in your head. So, somebody said to you, ถ้ามีบางคนพูดกับคุณว่า that something is all in your head. = it means that you're imagining that ก็หมายความว่าคุณกำลังจินตนาการอยู่ So, you are really worry about something ดังนั้น ถ้าคุณกำลังกังวลกับบางอย่างอยู่ and somebody said  to you, และบางคนพูดกับคุณ Don't worry. อย่ากังวลไป It's all in your head. What's that mean? หมายความว่าอย่างไร? = it's that, it's not really real, หมายความว่า มันไม่ใคร่จริงนัก - you just imagining that, and created it in your head. คุณเพียงแต่จินตนาการมันขึ้นมา  และสร้างมันขึ้นในหัวของคุณ  All in your head.  You can also say, I'm sure it's all in my head. คุณยังสามารถพูดว่า, ชั้นมั่นใจว่า ทั้งหมดมันอยู่ในหัวชั้นแล้ว So, I'm just imagined it, or blowing that proportion, making it  into a very big deal. ชั้นแค่จินตนาการน่ะ หรือทำให้มันออกมาเป็นรูปเป็นร่าง which it's not really that big of the deal. ซึ่งมันไม่ได้เป็นเรื่องใหญ่ ไม่ได้สลักสำคัญนัก All in your head. OK. And next idioms using all is   4. All in a day's work. All in a day's work. so what is this mean ? หมายความว่า ? It's...  it's basically mean, โดยทั่วๆไปแล้ว มีความหมายว่า that, umm, something that no big deal. มันไม่ใช่เรื่องใหญ่ So somebody thanks you for doing something ดังนั้น ถ้ามีคนขอบคุณคุณ ที่คุณทำอะไรให้ and you say oh, it's all in a day's work. = และคุณพูด  it's all in a day's work. มีความหมายว่า = 1. it just mean no problem. ไม่มีปัญหาจ้ะ 2. Don't worried about it. อย่ากังวลไป, อย่าคิดมาก 3. It wasn't that big of the deal. It's all in a day's work. มันไม่ใช่เรื่องใหญ่จ้ะ 4. It was simple. เรื่องง่ายๆเองน่ะ 5. So, obviously, this one, is a little more negative than the other one, อันนี้มันจะออกความหมายแนวแง่ลบมากกว่าอันอื่นๆหน่อยนะคะ so if you said  ถ้าคุณพูดว่า All hell broke loose.  It mean, it was was chaos...... chaos//noun ความสับสนวุ่นวาย กลียุค ความโกลาหล ความยุ่งเหยิง ความทุลักทุเล ความอลเวง So, you're in the situation and you said to somebody then all hell broke loose. and then it was chaos. ก็คือ เธออยู่ในสถานการณ์นั้น และเธอพูดกับบางคนแล้ว ความวุ่นวายโกลาหลก็เกิดขึ้น All hell broke loose.   6. All over the map. OK All over the map. So, a map was a piece of paper that knows the area of land. แผนที่ คือ กระดาษแผ่นหนึ่ง ที่ให้ความรู้เรื่องพื้นที่ดินแดน And if you said that something was all over the map และถ้าเธอพูดว่าบางอย่างมัน all over the map For example, ตัวอย่างเช่น if a teacher was given you a lecture and it really difficult to understand and hard to follow. ถ้าครูบรรยายให้เข้าใจยากและคิดตามได้ยาก And there were jumping from subject to subject. และ(อธิบาย)ข้ามไปข้ามมาจากเรื่องนึงไปอีกเรื่องนึง You will say, that lecture was all over the map. เธออาจจะพูดว่า การบรรยายนั้น  all over the map  You couldn't understand that. เธอไม่เข้าใจนั้นเลย  You couldn't follow it. เธอไม่สามารถตามมันได้ Like a path on the map, there was no path. เหมือนมีเส้นทางบนแผนที่ แต่มันไม่มีเส้นทางเดิน It was everywhere. มันเลยไปทุกที่ Like it was, incomprehensible. เหมือนกับมัน เข้าใจยาก ไม่มีขอบเขต ไม่สามารถเข้าใจได้ incomprehensible//adjective เข้าใจยาก ไม่มีขอบเขต  ไม่สามารถจะเข้าใจได้ It was all over the map.  = So, you can't understand that. ชั้นไม่สามารถเข้าใจได้ You referred to something like a lecture, คุณใช้เมื่อพูดถึงกรณีที่เหมือนกับการบรรยาย if someone talking to you ถ้ามีคนคุยกับเธอ and you didn't understand what they were saying และเธอไม่เข้าใจว่าเขาพูดอะไร because they were jumping around all the time. เพราะเขาพูดข้ามไปข้ามมาตลอดเวลา There were all over the map. OK we have one more idioms โอเคนะคะ เรามีอีกสำนวนนึงค่ะ   7. All eyes on me. See, you can say, ดูนะคะ คุณอาจใช้ได้ว่า   All eyes on me. All eyes on him. All eyes on her. All eyes on ....... . basically what it means is that, ความหมายที่ใช้กันทั่วๆ คือ everybody looking at you. ทุกคนดูมาที่คุณอยู่ And waiting for something to happen, และรอให้เกิดเหตุการณ์บางเหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้น So, you about to get the speech you will say.. And then, all eyes were on me. ดังนั้น คุณกำลังจะพูดต่อหน้าที่สาธารณชน...  และแล้ว "ตาทุกคู่ก็จับจ้องมาที่ชั้น" And it means everybody waiting for your talk, มันหมายความว่า ทุกคนรอดูเธอพูด waiting to see, what you gonna do next, and watching. รอจะดู ว่าเธอจะทำอะไรต่อไป และกำลังดูอยู่ So, you can say, if the president will give a speech, all eyes are on him. เธอสามารถพูดว่า ถ้าประธานาธิบดีจะพูดปราศัย สายตาทุกคู่ก็จับจ้องอยู่ที่ท่าน And it ... give the impression, not only they looking at them, but that they waiting for something, to happen or anticipating something. และมันก็เกี่ยวกับการสร้างความประทับใจด้วย ไม่เพียงแต่พวกเขาจะมองที่เขา แต่เค้ายังรอให้อะไรบางอย่างให้เกิดขึ้น หรือเข้าร่วมในบางอย่างด้วย จากคุณ : lovelypriest เขียนเมื่อ : 22 มี.ค. 55 13:17:22
