All My Love - Secret Garden Parody Special!!
The highlight of today's episode is how they parodied Secret Garden. From the costume, the scenes down to the lines, it was really hilarious!! Other than that, we also learnt that Doo Joon used to be in Taekwondon (or Judo) and was quite good at it. A little development of the Doo Joon-Geum Ji love-line today, so I'm happy.
Let's start with the Secret Garden Parody first.
Basically what happens is that Director Kim's medical check-up when he was at the hospital after spraining his waist at the talent show came in. While there was no major problems, his cholesterol level and the stomach fats were a little worrying. So Butler Kim suggested to him to go on a diet and he agreed.
I totally laughed when Director Kim came into the kitchen with the bling bling track suit that Butler Kim had prepared for him. Because Mi Sun didn't know Director Kim was going on a diet, she prepared the usual meal only to be scolded by Director Kim. When he questioned Butler Kim if he had told Mi Sun, Butler Kim said that he was too busy preparing the track suit and the diet. I mean it when I said they use the lines from Secret Garden as well. Butler Kim emphasised that the track suit was made manually, stitch by stitch.

And at the last frame, Director Kim said: "Butler Kim, since when did you start obeying me so well? Since last year?
Kim-su-ah-moo... (the little boy was eating a sausage)
DIrector Kim's craving for sausage became so bad that he mistook Butler Kim's thumb as the sausage and took a bite of it.
At the HakGwon, Teacher Bang was playing with the app that will find one's best match in the entertainment world. The first one they tried on: Secretary Jeon. His result was 'Ha Ji Won' (they are REAL siblings); Director Kim was 'Hyun Bin' and the teacher with teacher with the silted eyes and had her wedding engagement called off TWICE was a "tibetan Wolf

BUT!! There's some development in the Doo Joon-Geum Ji Love-line today. At the beginning of the episode, we get Doo Joon who got a poster of Geum Ji which he put up at the snack stall outside the hakgwon. Then he received a phone call from his taekwondo junior telling him that their coach was getting married and he's invited. It was then revealed that he used to train in taekwondo but because he gets injured rather seriously once and his mother was very upset so he stopped totally. (This was revealed when he talked to Geum Ji).
In class the students were asking Ok Yeop if the two of them were going out by passing notes. Geum Ji caught them and then said she wasn't in a relationship with Doo Joon. That's when the students asked her why would he had a poster of her pasted in the stall if they are not together. Geum Ji went to check and when she saw her poster, she hit Doo Joon as per what she usually does. But this time, she was caught by Doo Joon's mum. She quickly ran off.
Doo Joon's mum saw the bruises on Doo Joon's body one day while he was sleeping and concluded that it was Geum Ji who hurt Doo Joon. When Mi Sun turned up at the hakgwon the next day, the two of them sort of quarrel about it. Geum Ji went to look for Doo Joon to clarify the matter only to see him being carried off by a bunch of gangsters(?). Geum Ji saw a pail and mop at the side of the road and went after the bunch of gangsters. Doo Joon finally revealed that those were his junior at the taekwonod school and they were bringing him to their coach's wedding.
Anyway, they released Doo Joon and the two of them actually had a conversation. Doo Joon's bruises came about because he went for taekwondo practice. That was when Geum Ji remembered that the reason she had come looking for him was to get him to clarify with his mum that she wasn't the one who caused the bruises. Doo Joon said he would tell his mum that she's not responsible for the bruises but he won't reveal the real reason.
The conversation turned serious with Geum Ji asking him why he gave up taekwondo. Apparently he got injured once and that took a long time to recover. Though his body recovered but there was another reason that made him not go back to it. (I'm guessing his mother got too upset about his injury and he didn't want to make her upset again.) Geum Ji asked if he was going back to taekwondo, he said no. Then Geum Ji suggested going to the taekwondo studio (Not sure what to call it.)
When they arrived at the taekwondo studio, they started playing around and Geum Ji kept provoking Doo Joon until finally he lifted her up and slammed her onto the floor, typical taekwondo style.
COMMENTS:
While I was totally amused with the Secret Garden Parody, that did nothing to advance the plot for Director Kim-Seung Ah to find out about their real relationship. So that was a disappointment because I was expecting some development. I guess that's where I'm wrong. I forgot that I'm not watching a drama but a sitcom that is much longer than the average drama series and I should just take the laughs and not think too much about it.
But I'm glad for the development of Doo Joon-Geum Ji love-line and character. I realise that Doo Joon, for all his naive at times especially towards Geum Ji, is a really sensitive guy who really cares about how the people around him feels. He's like the opposite of Ok Yeop. And we also saw a softer and more encouraging side of Geum Ji in this episode when she had the conversation with Doo Joon and while they were playing around at the taekwondo studio, I believe her ultimate purpose was to help Doo Joon realise that he truly loved the sport and that he's really good at it too. So this episode made both of them look good, at least to me.
